Hello, loves!
Its another month, which means its time for another monthly wrap up, albeit late.
What I did in July?
July was another mostly inactive month on the blog because I was so busy with uni work and tests, and because WordPress wasn’t letting to write anything when I had the time. But despite, the busyness of the month I managed to read a few books, make some posts of bookstagram and post something on the blog.
The Black Veins by Ashia Monet
⭐⭐⭐⭐★|4.5 stars
I love this book. Love everything about it from the characters to the plot and the magic system. I love the Guardians and their different personalities. I loved the diversity and representation in the book. I loved how it focused on other kinds of loves and bonds, rather than romantic love which most YA fantasy books seem to have an element of.
I highly recommend it 💗
(You can read my full review here)
The Warlord Wants Forever by Kresley Cole (Immortals After Dark #0.5)
⭐⭐⭐⭐| 4 stars.
Nikolai and Myst have always been one of my favourite characters since high school, I enjoyed reading their story again.
A Hunger Like No Other by Kresley Cole (Immortals After Dark #1)
⭐⭐⭐⭐| 4 stars.
I absolutely loved this book. I loved the characters, I loved how they grew, especially Emma. I loved Kresley Cole’s writing as always.
No Rest For The Wicked by Kresley Cole (Immortals After Dark #2)
⭐⭐⭐⭐| 4 stars.
I absolutely loved this one! Although I’ve read the Immortals After Dark series before, there are some books in the series like this one that I hadn’t read, and reading it now, I loved it. I loved the characters in this one also and the story and writing was amazing.
Wicked Deeds on a Winter’s Night by Kresley Cole (Immortals After Dark #3)
⭐⭐⭐⭐| 4 stars.
You know the answer already, I loved it!
Deliverance by Jane Henry.
⭐⭐⭐⭐| 4 stars.
I liked this book. I liked the way it handled BDSM in a safe and respectable way. I liked that it had mental illness rep. However, my biggest problem with it was how they wouldn’t use the world disability or disabled to describe well, a disabled person, but rather use ‘special needs’. Technically, it was actually a neurodivergence, by the word special needs rubbed wrongly off me, but otherwise it was a nice book.
Caraval by Stephanie Garber.
⭐⭐⭐⭐| 4 stars.
I loved Caraval. I loved the depiction of a siblings bond. I loved the concept of the book — a game that seemed all too real or was it? —, the setting and the writing. I really loved it, it was a month’s favourite.
Unfortunately, this month I will be going on another blogging hiatus, because of my finals for this semester which begin next week up until the end of the month. Although, I might still make some posts this month if i can, but I’d rather you all know that’ll be mostly available. I might also be a bit inactive on bookstagram, but relatively I’ll be a lot more active there on here.
I hope you all have an amazing month! And a great day 💗
Good luck with your finals! Going on hiatus is totally understandable – I had to slow down a lot because of uni too. Hope you have a good August!

It’s nice that you had so many four star books! July was also a lucky month for me, I loved most every book I read. Also I’m looking forward to seeing your posts when you get back from your hiatus! I hope finals season goes well for you!

Well done for finding time to blog, even if it wasn’t as much time as you would have prefered, and good luck with university!

Good reading month. I wasn’t a fan of Caraval, but not so much that I don’t think I will continue the series – I want to see where it goes.
Good luck with finals!
