The Wrap Up: Monthly Wrap Up for May+June.

Hello, loves!

How have y’all been? Its been one long month, and I’ve been AWOL again *awkward laugh*. Today, I’m back with my wrap up for the past two months!

What happened in May & June:

So, in May and early June, I participated in the Ramadan Readathon. Its a month long reading challenge to support Muslim authors and promote books written by Muslims. This year, the challenge was presented as a bingo board, fashioned after the five pillars of Islam, Shahadah (Faith), Salah (Prayer), Zakat (Charity), Sawn (Fasting) and Hajj (Pilgrimage) and it ran from the May 6 to June 4, and me being the forgetful bitch I am, managed to almost miss the deadline *cries in embarrassed muslim*.

My chosen pillar was Salah (Prayer) and as per the rules, I read 5 books related to the slots on the bingo board ( Check out my May/ Ramadan Readathon TBR here.). Aside the 5 books from the readathon, I also read 9 other books, in May.

In June however, reading and blogging didn’t go so well for me. I planned on reading a minimum of 5/6 LGBTQ+ books, but ended up reading only 3, which only one being queer. June in total sucked for me because I had no motivation to do things and I stressed, my health, both physical and mental, was really bad, I’m still recovering but I feel better.

  1. I hope your mood reading is great this month! You got so much reading done even if you were ‘AWOL’ and don’t worry, we all need a break sometimes from blogs and life and all the things. Looks like for the most part, you had some good reads!

  2. Wow, did you basically read all of the Shatter Me series? I totally agree with the mood reading! Your brain needs to choose what to read, and tbrs can hinder you from reading something you really want to read. Let’s hope this month goes better for you!
