Hello everyone! Assalamu alaikum!
How are you all doing? Well, like I said in my previous post, this month I’ll be taking part in the Ramadan Readathon 2019, a reading challenge created for the purpose of celebrating and supporting Muslim authors during the holy month of Ramadan, the holiest month in the Islamic calendar. You can find out more about the Ramadan Readathon on the Nadia’s blog.
This year’s readathon will be taking place between May 6th and June 4th. The readathon this year is presented in a bingo board fashioned after the five pillars of Islam. In each pillar are four prompts and a free space to complete, reading from bottom to top. Each participant is choose one or more pillars to complete.
My chosen pillar this year, is the second pillar of Islam, Salah (Prayer).
MY LIST

★Free Space.★
She Wore Red Trainers by Na’ima B. Robert.
★Contemporary Fiction.★
Love, Hate & Other Filters by Samira Ahmed.
★Recently Bought/Released.★
Internment by Samira Ahmed.
★Number or Name in Title.★
Ayesha At Last by Uzma Jalaluddin.
Well, that’s my list! This is the first time I’m reading so many books by Muslim authors in a month, and I’m so excited for it!
I love the idea behind this reading challenge, and I’m grateful it exists.
So, that’s all. Till next time and Ramadan Kareem! I posted this just when I said I would, at the start of Ramadan. Here’s a picture of my Quran, the most important book of this month, because I can’t help it.
This looks like a great readathon! I hope you get to fill up your bingo card ❤
Internment is on my tbr, and I've heard some good things about Shatter Me!
